Sport Chalet - Very rude cashier (Kim)

I had a very bad experienced with a cashier named Kim in Arcadia branch. This girl was very disrespectful and out of control in handling customer service.

On 6/9/16 while waiting patiently to pay the merchandise i bought i discovered that the shirt i bought had a hole ..I asked her nicely if i can get a better one and she said yes...I expected that since she assisted me ..she will wait and proceed with my purchase but that didn't instead she assisted someone else. I was kind a dissappointed but i still composed myseld and waited patiently ..after that i thought it was my turn..nope it didn't happen and the sad part this girl really ignored me (very abusive) and went on helped another person returning something ..she totally ignored my presence as if i wasn't there in front of her waiting .... My bp went up...and I asked her name...and she answered me in a very rude manner ...I started telling her that she was very rude and that I waited patiently for my turn and that I should be given priority. She said that those person she helped ahead of me were more important......again that was very abusive and very rude.

I told her she shouldn't treat a customer like that.. I told her i will report her to the manager for her abusive attitude towards me. She replied in a rude manner again. I reported her to the manager and I am planning to report her to to consumer service.

I hope this kind of abuse will not happen again. They have very poor customer service

It won't happen again. The store is closing and that girl is losing her job. She could have been nicer, but I can't help but feel like you're leaving out some information about your own rude behavior.

I was in Sports Chalet Store #20 yesterday Tuesday March 22, 2016. Cashier SSn register #001

I was buying a cardigan and a beach hat. I had a hat that had a price tag on it and then saw the same hat but different color so I put the original hat down and grabbed the one I liked not even paying attention to wether there was a price tag on it or not because there was one on the first one I picked up. I knew it was 16.99. When she looked at the hat she annoyingly looked at me and said "there is no price tag on this" i said "Oh I had one and changed it with another and it said $16.99 she said " OH well will you go get me the other one?" I said forget it I don't want it! She said OH are you sure??? She LOST a sale for your store due to laziness. What kind of customer service is that to ask the customer to go find a price that Your store is responsible for having on their items. Just a side note my husband wanted to buy a new basketball but didn't because there were no prices on any of them on the shelf.

Customer service is dieing in this country and there is no excuse!!!

I feel the same think here, the store said 20 to 50 percent off, but not all area said 20%, so in one area I see 30% off for racks, so I also assumed whatever in that area is 30% off, but when I went to the register, they said all items were 20% off only, then I correct them it said 30% off on the wall, they then said only the racks stuff, not the bike stuff, I said go take a look, I only see the 30% off on that wall, so I assume all items are 30%, can you check, then she tell on of the guy standing there to check, the guy reply it is only 30% for racks, and not the other stuff. Wife and I go can you check, he just stood there.

So, I went back again to check for sure after the purchase, there's only tow sign on that wall where it said 30% off for racks, but, you buying stuff see 30%, and that's the only sign, you assume 30%, so they should put a 30% sign off for stuff not 30%. This is very misleading, and no way of checking since the machine only rings thing up, and people works there really are temp. worker, so they have no idea what's sales and what is not. You really have to pay attention.

Stuff are really not that cheap since lot of online retailer have sales cheaper and you can return them. Don't feel bad for Sport Chalet, these people that works there now, proabably have nothing to do with the previous store people or workers. They have no idea what comes in the package, especially the Skis and Snow gear stuff.

Know what you buy since you paying only 20% for something you can't return. This is their escape clause!!!!

Order and item on line and no confirmation of shipping.

I emailed customer support and no response going on 8 days.

I finally called and got hung up two times. The cancelled the order due to lack of stock but I received no cancellation. i asked them to cancel my order and send a confirmation that it is cancelled, rep stated their email system is down. This is absolutely the worst customer service i've experienced in some time. I will never order another item from this retailer.

This person wrote the review because of problem with delivery of north face coat from Sport Chalet. Reviewer claimed that he or she wants Sport Chalet to read this review and look into the issue (if any).

If you have a chance, please immediately contact him/ her to briefly discuss his/ her negative experience with the company.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!! I read the reviews before ordering an item, went as far as contacting the company to order it instead of making my purchase online myself.

The rep assured me that the item was in stock and placed the order for me. A week later I received an email stating that the order was canceled due to being out of stock.

I was told that the reps system does not tell them if an items is in stock or sold out, which makes no sense at all! THEY ARE FULL OF ***, I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!!

I just had this same experience. I ordered an item on 12/20/15, received an email confirming my order stating it will arrive in 7-10 business days.

I checked the status of my order this morning online only to find that it states it was canceled and is out of stock. I never received any notification of my order being cancelled, or my gift card being credited.

The poor customer service guy on the phone must get so many complaints, what a terrible system! They need to improve the communication, it's ridiculous!

Horrible company. I ordered a product from them and received a confirmation email from them however never received an email that the product was shipped.

After about a week I decided to call the their amazing customer service department which left me more confused then before. After two days I received another email saying my order was cancelled..? I spent the next day trying to figure out why and why it took so long for them to notify me.

They simply stated they were out of stock. Pretty unprofessional to advertise a product for sale when you don't even have it.

On December 15, 2014 I purchased a pair of size 2 uggs boots as a Christmas gift for a nephew. And they were well over $100 dollars.

Well I had someone wrap the boots and send them to las Vegas. Well I am so embrassed I never felt so humilated in my life. I purchased these boots at the porter ranch location. They never removed both security sensors.

So now my sister thinks that I stoled them and sent them back.

So now I want to be compasated. Please fix this problem.

DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME OR YOUR MONEY ORDERING FROM HERE! I just rec'vd the NIKE ROLLING BACKPACK I ordered & not only is it EXTREMELY CHEAPLY MADE (cheap thin, thin plastic, and super flimsy handle which would last MAYBE a month!) I WANTED TO RETURN THIS MISREPRESENTED DOLLAR STORE BAG TO THEM & THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY THE USPS RETURN SHIPPING knowing that a huge box via UPS will cost almost as much as the purchase!

I did call and spoke to 2 customer service reps who confirmed buyer must pay return shipping unless they send you the wrong item! ORDER FROM AMAZON OR SOMEWHERE WHERE THEY STAND BEHIND THE QUALITY OF WHAT THEY SELL NOT SPORT CHALET!!!

The Store Manager, Jason, is an absolute ***. His obvious disdain for customers is apparent, not only himself but also the lazy-incompetent staff he keeps on payroll.

As a consumer I sought out answers only to be disrespected and lied to. After having driven to this particular location I was talked in circles all while dealing with catty undertones!!! This manager had the audacity to throw a different Sport Chalet store under the bus, as he tried to save face. I would STRONGLY suggest you drive either to another sporting goods store or order offline.

This store will cause you nothing but problems and frustrations. Jason, you should now that your conversion rates will plummet with the lot of folks under your guidance!!!!

Maybe he is still there as I recently had a bad online purchase experience. The employees at Sport Chalet are obviously not empowered to serve the customer.

I purchased a CamelBak Rogue and the sternu strap is missing. Got the run-around only to be told that they would UPS ground ship the missing strap. Really?? I went to CamelBak directly and they were very responsive.

DO NOT DEAL with the NUMPTIES at Sport Chalet. That company needs to go away.

I had the same issue my father died while in a scuba diving accident I went to the store to find answers the store manager said that's not my problem while throwing another store under the bus and said I didnt know your father and told me to get out of his store. When I asked why is he talking to me like that I am trying to find answers to how my father passed point me in the right direction.

he called the police on me.

The store staff was great but that manager needs to find another profession. I am in luck because two off duty officers were there to be witness while he tried to lie on me and said I was being disruptive.
